Isleworth

Isleworth Area Guide

Isleworth is a small town to the west of Brentford, best known for its two stunning stately homes, Osterley House and Syon House. From large Georgian houses to Victorian converted flats, there is a variety of period properties for sale and to rent in Isleworth. Some of these boast extensive garden spaces and riverside views.

Alongside these historic buildings are the sleek modern offices of some of West London’s largest employers, most notably within Sky’s Osterley campus and along the north side of the A4.

As well as housing Sky’s UK headquarters, Osterley is also one of Isleworth’s most sought-after areas, on account of its transport connections and proximity to the grand Osterley Park and House. Other popular neighbourhoods include Old Isleworth, a pretty riverside location home to several modern developments; the Woodlands Estate, which hosts some of the town’s finest houses; and the area bordering Syon Park.

Isleworth is regarded as a value market, as house- hunters are often able to find a larger and higher-quality property within their budget than they would in neighbouring Brentford and St Margarets. It is also a family-friendly town, hosting several well-regarded schools, including The Green Schools for Boys and for Girls, Bolder Academy, The Blue School, Gumley House Convent School, Spring Grove Primary School, Isleworth & Syon School, Marlborough Primary School and Nishkam School.
