The competitive spirit amongst our teams came to the fore when we took part in Tough Mudder at Culden Faw near Henley-on-Thames at the end of April. Eighteen Thorgills team members crawled through muddy troughs, scaled hay bale towers, plunged into vats of icy water and survived an obstacle called 'The Birth Canal', as well as running for six miles across hilly farmland. Tough Mudder is a formidable personal challenge and also a fantastic way to raise money for an important cause. Thorgills team members badgered their family and friends to raise a grand total of £1,941.29 for the British Heart Foundation. Incredibly, everyone is looking forward to doing it again next year to raise even more money for charity!
