With all the movement in the London sales market there were concerns in some circles that perhaps Lettings might feel the pinch. I'm pleased to report the concerns were unfounded and we experienced our busiest month on record.
A sign of the times when Ealing's newest high end development, Dickens Yard is also our most popular development. This month saw Thorgills renting a number of properties within the development to excellent tenants; including corporate clients, professional sportsmen and the family of a world renowned hotelier. The penthouse proved very popular, achieving over asking price with the full rent for the term paid in advance, needless to say a very happy landlord.
Thorgills continue to dominate the lettings market surrounding the Wellesley Road area of Chiswick. This month saw four properties in this small area of the world fly out the door within 72 hours of coming on to the market. A particularly popular development is the Stile Hall Mansions building located just off the High Road. This is a perfect example of property in high demand that Thorgills are able to find good quality tenants for very quickly.
September also marked Thorgills opening its doors to Isleworth and the surrounding areas with our new satellite office. A success from day one, we have really hit the ground running. From the outset we believe we can help drive up the standards of service being offered and it would appear that landlords in the area feel the same way. This month we were pleased to take instruction on a number of properties in the Blenheim Centre development and let them all extremely quickly.
September has been a great month and October looks set for much of the same. Thorgills continue to grow in line with the private rented sector, consistently outperforming other local agents who 'offer' lettings.
