This month saw more local event sponsorship, further donations to great local causes and the Thorgills team preparing for another charity event. The Brentford festival took place on the 1st of September in Blondin Park and was a resounding success. Thorgills were flattered when approached to act as the main marketing sponsor. We happily threw our weight behind the event to ensure it was the success it deserved to be.
Continuing the community theme, this year at Thorgills we have been running our 'Pride of West London' award. It sees us recognise one local resident every month who has acted with great community spirit and a donation is made in their name to a charity of their choice. This month Jessica Tunmore was recognised for her outstanding fundraising efforts. Jessica raised sponsorship money for shaving her head in aid of MacMillan after learning her mother was diagnosed with cancer.
Next month will be Thorgills third charity event of the year. As we celebrate five years servicing West London's letting needs, we have pledged to raise money for five different charities this year.
We started with a 10k run to raise money for Age concern UK, this was followed by wig out Wednesday in aid of CLIGC Sergeant, helping children and young people with cancer. Next month we have almost the entire Thorgills team running in the resolution run at Hyde park, in aid of the stroke association.
As the market reaches its peak, selection of the right lettings agent is pinnacle. At the moment we are noticing increasing level of new properties to the market, matched by increasing levels of new applicants. August saw a record number of new lets and we anticipate September exceeding this.
