Thank you to those of you who responded to last month’s survey, which discussed the reasons influencing which agents you work with.

Our respondents’ top priority when choosing an agent was good service. This is to be expected – service to clients is the foundation of the property industry. It’s also the area in which most agents fall short. We strive to be different to our competition, providing our clients with regular feedback, sound advice and up-to-date information about our market.

Recommendation by a friend or colleague came a close second in the poll. Again, there is no surprise here: people like to work with agents they trust, and they trust agents who have given their friends or family good service in the past. Many of our clients have been so impressed with our service that they reviewed us publicly, and you can see their feedback [here].

Local knowledge also scored highly. This also relates to good service, as a knowledgeable agent will be able to provide a better experience for clients and applicants alike. At Thorgills this is something we pride ourselves on – all of our staff are West London residents and have an intimate knowledge of the regions they cover.

The final main factor considered by our clients when choosing an agent was proven success. This is another unsurprising result – an agent who is consistently successful is likely to be a good choice.
