Thorgills’ winter charity activities began last month with our annual Winter Woollies campaign. Thank you to all who donated; many of our West London neighbours generously provided us with lots of warm winter clothing which has been passed on to local homeless support groups.
In December, we have continued to embrace the Christmas spirit of giving, starting with an event alongside our long-standing partners at Grove Park Primary School in Chiswick. Thorgills sponsored the school’s Christmas Fair last Friday, which was enjoyed by all.
We are also collaborating with Age UK again this year, to provide gifts for our elderly neighbours. Each Thorgills team has put together a hamper of Christmas treats, which will be given to senior citizens throughout West London who may not receive any other presents this year. To find out more about the work Age UK conducts, you can visit their website here.
Later in the month, we will be spreading further Christmas cheer by participating in Christmas Jumper Day on Friday 14th of December to raise money for Save the Children. This nationwide celebration of Christmas fashion disasters is helping to build a better future for children around the world, and you can find out more about how to take part here.
Later in the month we will be heading to West Middlesex Hospital to deliver presents to the children who will be in hospital over the Christmas period.
In amongst this charity activity we will of course still be working hard for our clients throughout the Christmas period, and you can check out any changes to our opening hours here below:
