Another 10,000 ft. sky dive, helping raise money and awareness for Sands

News at Thorgills | 01/08/2016

On Sunday July 31st five brave members of the Thorgills team set off bright and early to Redlands Airfield in Swindon, to throw themselves 10,000 ft. out of a plane. Ayame Ponder, Fiona Duncan, Karim Pasha, Nathan Myerson and Daniel Fay had each pledged to raise a minimum of £350 for Sands, a stillbirth and neonatal death charity.

Following their safety briefing, fear could be felt in the air as several of the usually loud members of the team became particularly quiet. All five members of the team completed their jumps and were all ecstatic to have made it back down to earth in one piece (some with more volume than others!).

So far, £2,245 has been raised for this extremely good cause, putting Thorgills in the top 3% of fundraisers on Justgiving for July 2016. A fantastic achievement all round.
