In 2013 Thorgills celebrate five years servicing the needs of thousands of landlords and tenants in the West London area. Firstly, we would like to say thank you to everyone who has continued to work with us, and to show our appreciation 2013 will be a year of fundraising and thanking the local community.

This year looks set to be another busy one, after a record January working with more client's than we have in previous Januarys. The new larger lettings teams in both Ealing and Chiswick are experiencing marked increases in tenant applications and new instructions from landlords, old and new.

January saw the first Thorgills Pride of West London award presented to a member of the local community. Every month during 2013 Thorgills will select a member of the local community who has shown outstanding community spirit, recognising them with the award and making a £100 donation in their name, to a charity of their choosing. This month saw Ms Daksha Joshi recognised for her outstanding service to the community, having been the postmistress at the Strand on the Green post office for over 25 years. For such an impressive achievement she is to be awarded a British Empire Medal (BEM) for services to the community on this years honours list. Something we are sure she'll value almost as much as her Thorgills Pride of West London Award. Well done Ms Joshi, a true unsung hero of the community.

To continue the theme of raising money for the whole year, and to celebrate five years in 2013, Thorgills staff will be taking part in five separate events to help raise money for worthy causes. The first of which will see myself, Sean Barrett and Daniel Madden take part in a 10k fun run, in aid of AgeUK. A fantastic charity, which does great work to help and protect the elderly when they are at their most vulnerable. As if it wasn't bad enough having to complete the 10k run, we will be in full fancy dress as Thorgills beloved social media character, Captain Thorgills. As long as we hit our fund raising target then there will be lots of pictures posted for everybody's amusement, so do your bit and visit the Captain Thorgills Just giving page to donate.

Watch this space for further events across the year and the chance to get involved and give something back. In what is set to be a very busy year for Thorgills we anticipate lots of fundraising, the opening of a new branch and further growth in both Chiswick and Ealing. We are always looking for the right kind of people to work with us, if you live locally and think you have what it takes to join West London's Premier Lettings Specialist please send your CV and covering letter to
