A number of tube stations link the area to the rest of the city and the bus network also links the borough to Clapham in South London and Hammersmith in the West.. Parts of Fulham are also easy to access by bus or foot from the surrounding areas of Chelsea, Kensington and Knightsbridge. Fulham has a number of parks and open green areas, including Bishops Park and the historic Fulham Palace. This Grade I listed former home of the Bishop of London has extensive grounds, offering beautiful summer strolls and picnics.

Fulham is extremely popular with the French expatriate community because of the excellent Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle in nearby South Kensington, which is a French language primary and secondary school owned by the French Government.

There are, of course, a wealth of English-speaking private schools and excellent state schools to choose from, at both a primary and a secondary level. Most notably, Tony and Cherie Blair's children attended the London Oratory - a state-funded Catholic boys school with exceptional academic results.
